La Paz, 13 de agosto (RC). – El presidente Evo Morales calificó de mezquinos a los opositores que cuestionaron el presunto gasto de 18 millones de bolivianos en la compra de muebles para el equipamiento de la Casa Grande del Pueblo y resaltó que dicho mobiliario fue fabricado por una industria nacional en comparación al equipamiento que compraron pasados Gobiernos.
“¿De dónde compraban para el Palacio Quemado? Muebles de Europa e Italia; aquí todo es nacional, hay que reconocer, yo no manejo eso. No estaban de acuerdo con la Casa del Pueblo, ahora no están de acuerdo con los muebles, no sé, parece algo de mezquindad de algunos sectores que plantean o preguntan esto”, indicó Morales.
Por otro lado, el primer mandatario aseguró que está dispuesto a que se inicie una investigación de los gastos para el mencionado equipamiento porque es un tema abierto para toda la población y pidió al ministro de la Presidencia, Juan Ramón Quintana, que explique la compra de dichos muebles.
El presidente Morales realizó dichas declaraciones tras la denuncia del senador de la oposición, Yerko Núñez, quien indicó el pasado 8 de agosto que el Ministerio de la Presidencia presupuestó 18.8 millones de bolivianos para el equipamiento de la Casa Grande del Pueblo.
