La Paz, 4 de junio (RCM).- La presidente de Yacimiento de Litio Bolivianos (YLB), Karla Calderón, informó que la estatal desarrollarán gestiones técnicas y financieras para optimizar la producción en las plantas industriales de carbonato de litio y cloruro de potasio, además de implementar tecnología más eficiente para los nuevos proyectos de desarrollo de recurso evaporíticos.
“Hace más de 10 años fueron pensadas y gestionadas (las plantas industriales) para realizar sus operaciones en base a la tecnología de evaporación, ha sido una inversión considerable y tenemos que optimizarlas y llegar a su máximo potencial en el menor tiempo posible”, manifestó, citada en un reporte institucional.
Explicó que ambas plantas, que operan en el Complejo Industrial de YLB, al sur del salar de Uyuni, utilizan el método evaporítico, no obstante, el proceso productivo para la obtención de la materia prima demora de 12 a 18 meses, debido a los periodos de lluvia en la zona, que interrumpen el proceso de evaporación.
“Nuestra responsabilidad como empresa es alcanzar la máxima capacidad de producción de las plantas que, si bien, se encuentran operando todavía con una baja capacidad, están produciendo y son ventas que se están realizando y generando ingresos económicos al país”, señaló y anunció que para ese cometido se gestiona el financiamiento con distintas instituciones.
A la fecha, ambas industrias operan al 30% de su capacidad de producción, con la que fueron diseñadas.
