La Paz, 29 de mayo (RCM).- El Servicio Departamental de Salud (Sedes) de Potosí recibió más de 53.000 dosis de la vacuna contra la Influenza, para reforzar la campaña de inmunización informó el jefe de Epidemiología, Osman Quintana.
“Estas vacunas llegaron para cubrir la protección del grupo etario de 2 a 12 años. Los padres ya pueden llevar a sus hijos a los centros de salud para recibir la dosis”, explicó Quintana.
En Bolivia, se activó la campaña nacional de vacunación contra la influenza dirigida, en una primera etapa, a niñas y niños de 6 a 23 meses de edad, personas con enfermedades de base, mayores de 60 años, embarazadas y personal de Salud.
“Hemos recomendado que no asistan a clases, al menos los niños de 2 a 12 años, es decir, inicial y primaria, para que no haya contagios masivos de las infecciones respiratorias”, explicó.
