Las torrenciales lluvias y la crecida de las aguas han provocado un desastre en el municipio de Cotagaita, en el departamento de Potosí. Dos niños murieron en las riadas, además, los equipos de rescate buscan el cuerpo de una mujer de 75 años que fue arrastrada por la fuerza de las aguas.
El director de Desarrollo Agropecuario y seguridad alimentaria, Genaro Méndez, informó que esta riada provocó daños materiales de consideración, y ha afectado en caminos y puentes vecinales, además de la producción agrícola.
Defensa Civil informa que hay 25 comunidades afectadas por la crecida de los ríos de Cotagaita y Tumusla, además, de unas 1500 familias damnificadas que están recibiendo la ayuda necesaria.
