La Paz, 10 de noviembre (RCM).- El ministro ecuatoriano del Interior, Juan Zapata, anticipó que propondrá esta medida al ministro de Defensa Nacional de Colombia, Iván Velásquez, durante una reunión bilateral que mantendrán en el marco del encuentro ministerial de la Unión de Naciones Suramericanas (Unasur) que se llevará a cabo en Brasilia.
En declaraciones difundidas por el Ministerio del Interior de Ecuador, Zapata explicó que los extranjeros que se encuentran en Perú tienen hasta el 10 de noviembre para regularizar su situación con un permiso temporal de permanencia, por lo que aquellos que no hagan el trámite pueden ser expulsados.
El titular de la cartera del Interior comentó que la Superintendencia de Migraciones de Perú estima que serán expulsadas entre 5.000 y 6.000 personas, la mayoría de nacionalidad venezolana. «La hoja de ruta más adecuada que estamos mirando nosotros es que se genere un corredor humanitario para que desde Perú, las personas que no hayan cumplido con este requisito, sean trasladadas directamente hasta Venezuela, pero para eso también necesitamos coordinar con las autoridades colombianas», indicó Zapata.
