En un partido plagado de emociones, el cuadro de Bolívar obtuvo su séptima victoria consecutiva, tras imponerse al conjunto de Always Ready por 3-0 en el estadio Hernando Siles.
Conocedores del tropiezo del Tigre ante Independiente, el plantel celeste fue a por todas y abrió la cuenta por medio de Diego Bejarano al minuto 6 del primer tiempo; posteriormente Roberto Carlos Fernández anotaría el segundo al minuto 36’, y dos minutos más tarde Bruno Sávio se encargaría de marcar el 3-0.
El encuentro se le hizo cuesta arriba a la Academia antes de concluir la primera mitad, después de la expulsión de Fernández por doble tarjeta amarilla, y la posterior roja directa a Sávio tras una airada protesta y empujones en contra del árbitro Gaad Flores.
En la segunda parte del compromiso, el cuadro de Bolívar tuvo que replegarse y contener los embates del equipo millonario que intentó por todos los medios aprovechar su ventaja numérica, haciendo figura al portero celeste Rubén Cordano que sostuvo el resultado final que le permite a su equipo estar a un solo punto del líder The Strongest.
