La Paz, 30 de junio (RC).- Médicos del Hospital de Niños, en Santa Cruz, se han declarado en estado de emergencia tras registrar 58 galenos contagiados y otros 2 médicos fallecidos a causa del coronavirus, por lo que solicitaron mejores condiciones sanitarias para su sector.
“Son dos los que fallecieron en días pasados, no queremos que haya más, no queremos héroes muertos, queremos héroes vivos. Estamos viendo las posibilidades, consultando con todas las bases, consultando con todo el personal del hospital para decidir cuáles son los pasos a seguir posteriormente”, indicó uno de los representantes del sector.
Por su parte, la directora del Sindicato de Ramas Médicas de Salud Pública (SIRMES) de Santa Cruz, Leny Suárez, denunció que el 50% del personal médico de dicho hospital está infectado, pero continúan realizando sus funciones debido a la falta de personal, por lo que advirtió que la situación podría empeorar si las autoridades de Salud no brindan una solución a dicho problema.
