La Paz, 4 de octubre (RCM).- Un incendio forestal descontrolado consumió más de 20 viviendas la tarde del jueves en la comunidad Nueva Generación de Riberalta, Beni, dejando a varias familias en una situación crítica al perder prácticamente todas sus pertenencias.
«Eran 28 casas y solo han quedado seis. Nos hemos quedado sin nada, hemos perdido todo, hasta los animales», señaló entre sollozos, Martha Melgar, pobladora de Nueva Generación a Ojo Riberalteño.
Los reportes iniciales indican que hay personas con heridas por quemaduras y también con síntomas de intoxicación.
Los Bomberos Antofagasta de la Policía, junto con personal de la Unidad de Gestión de Riesgos, acudieron al lugar para controlar el fuego, posterior a ello la comunidad solicitó ayuda para combatir el fuego y donaciones para quienes han quedado sin hogar.
