La Paz, 2 de octubre (RCM).- El ministro de Obras Públicas, Edgar Montaño, informó que se aprobó el Decreto Supremo que amplía hasta mayo de 2026 el apagón analógico, en el eje central del país, es decir, La Paz, Cochabamba y Santa esto a razón de que muchas familias no cuentan con televisores digitales, así también se consultó a diferentes empresas televisivas sobre la decisión.
“Se ha aprobado la ampliación del apagón analógico, esto evidentemente repercute en la sociedad ya que algunas viviendas todavía no cuentan con un televisor totalmente digital, sino que reciben los canales a través de señales analógicas”, informó el ministro de Obras Públicas, Edgar Montaño, en conferencia de prensa.
La ampliación en las regiones de Cobija, Montero, Oruro, Potosí, Sucre, Tarija, Trinidad, el Valle Alto y localidades con una población de 40.000 habitantes se extiende hasta mayo de 2028; y para el resto del territorio nacional hasta mayo de 2030.
El apagón debía implementarse desde el 30 de noviembre de este año. Con esta medida, los canales de televisión dejarán de transmitir en formato analógico para dar paso a las emisiones en televisión digital.
