La Paz, 30 de septiembre (RCM).- El exministro de Justicia, Iván Lima, aseguró que el juicio ordinario contra la expresidenta Jeanine Áñez por los hechos de Senkata se resumen en un “capricho” del expresidente Evo Morales, sugiriendo que el caso podría llegar a la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (Corte IDH).
En una entrevista con radio Erbol, Lima explicó que su distanciamiento con Morales se debió a su desacuerdo sobre el manejo del caso. Según él, la Constitución establece que las acusaciones contra expresidentes deben ser tratadas mediante un juicio de responsabilidades, no a través de un proceso ordinario. Sin embargo, afirmó que Morales presionó para que el juicio siguiera esta última vía, generado complicaciones y retrasos en los casos de Senkata y Sacaba, relacionados con las muertes ocurridas durante los hechos de 2019.
En respuesta y desde la cárcel de Miraflores, Jeanine Áñez respondió a través de sus redes sociales y afirmó el proceso en su contra es parte de una persecución política orquestada por el Movimiento Al Socialismo (MAS). Acusó a Morales y sus seguidores de haber causado la crisis que terminó con su gobierno transitorio, y señaló que Lima formó parte de la “maquinaria judicial” que busca condenarla sin garantizar el debido proceso.
