La Paz, 25 de septiembre (RCM).- La alcaldesa de Laja, Luciana Condori, informó sobre la grave situación que enfrenta su municipio tras los recientes fenómenos meteorológicos. El tornado del viernes afectó a seis comunidades, dejando a muchas familias sin hogar, donde el sábado se repitió, aumentando los estragos. «Tenemos 47 familias que lo han perdido todo», lamentó.
Los vientos destruyeron viviendas, derribaron postes y destrozaron la cancha de césped sintético. Además, pequeños animales, como gallinas, han desaparecido, y 90 hectáreas de pastizales esenciales para la producción lechera fueron arrasadas, afectando a unas 50 familias, explicó la autoridad.
La alcaldesa indicó que no cuentan con presupuesto para ayudar a los afectados, ya que los recursos se destinaron a atender inundaciones recientes. Están buscando apoyo del Gobierno y de fundaciones para enfrentar la crisis. También mencionó la necesidad de víveres y raciones secas, ya que muchas familias han perdido sus alimentos.
