La Paz, 18 de julio (RCM).- El ministro de Obras Públicas, Édgar Montaño, ha expresado fuertes críticas hacia Evo Morales por su autoproclamación como candidato presidencial y la posibilidad de un posible postulante a vicepresidente, argumentando que Morales no está habilitado para ser elegido como presidente según las leyes vigentes.
Montaño instó a Morales a «pisar tierra» y recordó la sentencia 1010/2023 del Tribunal Constitucional, que establece limitaciones para la reelección presidencial en Bolivia, tanto de manera continua como discontinua. Además, hizo referencia a la Opinión Consultiva de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH), que establece que la reelección no constituye un derecho absoluto.
“Pise tierra compañero Evo, usted no está habilitado. Y no es con convocatorias a salir a bloquear, con pisotear a sus compañeros que le apoyen igual como ha hecho en Santa Cruz, no es así”, manifestó Montaño.
