La Paz, 27 de junio (RCM).- Al momento de prestar su declaración, el general Juan José Zúñiga, excomandante del Ejército de Bolivia, y el vicealmirante Juan Arnez Salvador, excomandante de la Armada Boliviana, decidieron acogerse al derecho del silencio en su comparecencia en la Fiscalía, en el marco del proceso iniciado por la toma militar de la plaza Murillo y lo que el gobierno consideró un intento fallido de “golpe de Estado”.
El viceministro de Régimen Interior y Policía, Jhonny Aguilera, confirmó la decisión de Zúñiga al mencionar que él «no ha declarado, se ha acogido al silencio», confirmó el viceministro de Régimen Interior y Policía, Jhonny Aguilera.
Tanto Zúñiga y Arnez fueron aprehendidos por la Fuerza Especial de Lucha Contra el Crimen (FELCC) de La Paz y pasaron la noche en sus instalaciones policiales.
