La Paz, 29 de mayo (RCM).- El exalcalde de Cochabamba, José María Leyes, sumó su quinta sentencia condenatoria en rebeldía; la última por el caso “Mochilas I”, la Alcaldía anunció que presentará un recurso de apelación restringida y la empresa que se adjudicó la licitación solicitó completar el pago por las mochilas escolares.
El director de Asuntos Judiciales, Elías Rocha, detalló que el Juzgado de Sentencia No. 3 dictó una sentencia condenatoria mixta con cinco años de cárcel más una multa de 300 días contra Leyes y el exsecretario Administrativo y Financiero Diego Moreno Barrón por el caso Mochilas I.
Anticipó la presentación de un recurso de apelación restringida y que solicitarán la pena máxima contra los acusados. “Nosotros consideramos que hemos acreditado con prueba todos los elementos del delito”, señaló.
A la fecha, Leyes se encuentra en calidad de prófugo de la justicia, con su paradero desconocido. En el caso “Designaciones ilegales”, la justicia dictó una sentencia condenatoria de un año contra el exalcalde.
