PEKÍN (Reuters)- China ha criticado el endurecimiento de las normas estadounidenses sobre las exportaciones de semiconductores, diciendo que han creado más obstáculos al comercio y más incertidumbre en la industria de los chips. La administración Biden revisó la semana pasada las reglas destinadas a dificultar que China acceda a los chips de inteligencia artificial y las herramientas de fabricación de chips de EE. UU., parte de un esfuerzo más amplio para obstaculizar la industria de fabricación de chips de Beijing por preocupaciones de seguridad nacional.
«Estados Unidos ha ampliado el concepto de seguridad nacional, ha revisado arbitrariamente las reglas y ha endurecido las medidas de control. Eso no solo ha creado más obstáculos e impuesto una carga de cumplimiento más pesada a las empresas chinas y estadounidenses que quieren trabajar juntas económicamente y en el comercio normalmente, sino que también ha creado una gran incertidumbre para la industria mundial de semiconductores», dijo un portavoz del Ministerio de Comercio, según un comunicado.
El portavoz, en respuesta a la pregunta de un periodista, dijo que la medida de Estados Unidos «afecta gravemente la cooperación mutuamente beneficiosa entre empresas chinas y extranjeras y daña sus derechos e intereses legítimos. China se opone firmemente a esto».
Estados Unidos impuso reglas en octubre pasado que prohíben las exportaciones y empresas como Nvidia y AMD , han sido afectados por la disputa.
«China está lista para trabajar con todas las partes para fortalecer la cooperación mutuamente beneficiosa y promover la seguridad y la estabilidad de la industria global de semiconductores y la cadena de suministro», dijo el portavoz.
