La Paz, 24 de julio (RCM).- Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos informó que se encuentra realizando trabajos de “exploración integral”, lo cuales comprenden la perforación de pozos en la zona tradicional y la habilitación de nuevas cuencas como el Subandino Norte y Madre de Dios, ubicados en La Paz, Beni y Pando.
“Tenemos que ir a buscar zonas no tradicionales, porque este recurso (el gas) se va a terminar en algún momento, entonces hay que ir a buscar nuevas cuencas. Por suerte en Bolivia, en el norte del país, tenemos dos posibles cuencas: el Subandino Norte y Madre de Dios”, detalló el presidente ejecutivo de YPFB, Armin Dorgathen Tapia.
De la misma forma, el presidente de la estatal explicó que luego de la extracción de los hidrocarburos en el Subandino Sur, ubicado en Chuquisaca, Santa Cruz, Tarija y Cochabamba, se podría explorar las cuencas Madre de Dios y Subandino Norte. “Estamos trabajando en una exploración integral, no solamente ir a perforar los pozos que tenemos visualizados dentro de la zona tradicional, sino también abrir nuevas cuencas que incluyan nuevos proyectos”, explicó.
