La Paz, 21 de noviembre (RC). – Un incendio registrado en el ingenio azucarero La Esperanza, ubicado en la provincia argentina de Jujuy, dejó al menos cinco personas muertas y varios heridos que ya fueron trasladados al Hospital Guillermo Paterson y debido a la intensidad del fuego se decidió evacuar a los residentes que vivían cerca del ingenio.
Según el portal El Clarín, el fiscal argentino Lian Resua ha informado que las personas fallecidas aún no fueron identificadas y se presume que dicho incendio fue ocasionado debido a un desperfecto eléctrico en el ingenio, sin embargo, todavía no se realizó una investigación formal para determinar las causas de dicho incendio.
“Hasta el momento tenemos cinco personas fallecidas y seguimos esperando que nos informen de más fallecidos porque en el momento de la explosión había 140 personas trabajando en el ingenio. No sabemos cuál es la cantidad de los evacuados”, manifestó el fiscal.
Por su parte, el gobierno de la provincia de Jujuy decretó dos días de duelo y dispuso que las Banderas Nacional y de la Libertad Civil permanezcan izadas en todos los edificios públicos provinciales. El Ministerio de Educación dispuso la suspensión de actividades escolares para este jueves en las escuelas cercanas al sitio del desastre.
