La Paz, 7 de octubre (RC). – El rector de la Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA), Waldo Albarracín, anunció el lanzamiento de una nueva encuesta, sobre las elecciones, aproximadamente entre el 10 y 11 de octubre bajo la misma dimensión de la primera encuesta donde se consultó a 14.000 personas, la cual será publicada por sus medios de comunicación y redes sociales.
“Lo que Tribunal Supremo Electoral debería censurar es que otras empresas encuestadoras tomen un margen de personas muy pequeño de 1000, 1500 y 2000 para una población de 11 millones de habitantes”, declaró Albarracín refiriendo que los periódicos deberían hacer respetar la libertad de prensa y publicar la encuesta de la UMSA.
Asimismo, el rector consideró que la vocal, Lucy Cruz, emitió su decisión personal al prohibir la primera encuesta lanzada por la UMSA, ya que más adelante el vicepresidente del Órgano Electoral, Antonio Costas, refirió que no hay motivo legal para prohibir la encuesta por lo que se decidió autorizar su publicación en sala plena.
Por otra parte, Albarracín indicó que el cabildo realizado en Santa Cruz con el apoyo del CONADE resulto multitudinaria e invito al pueblo paceño y alteño al cabildo del 10 octubre en La Paz, con el fin de demostrar que una dictadura no puede imponerse a un pueblo con convicción democrática, exigiendo al Órgano Electoral demostrar mayor independencia política.
